Our Story
Ledge Life Tackle, LLC is the culmination of a 5 year search for fishing rods and tackle that meet the high standards of durability, performance and value necessary in commercial rod and reel fisheries. Our search turned up products that were inadequate for our needs and could not deliver on all benchmarks. With 10+ years of rod building experience and countless days offshore, we set out to design and build rods and tackle that would fill this gap in the market. Stay tuned for a growing product line.
Capt. Joe Letourneau
Owner and Co-founder of Ledge Life Tackle, LLC, Owner of Sustainable Fisheries, LLC and the Owner and Captain of the F/V Lady Rebecca based out of Newburyport, Massachusetts. 20 years of saltwater fishing experience, 6 years as commercial captain targeting groundfish, mackerel, tuna and stripers with hook gear.
Harrison Stearns
Co-founder and rod builder at Ledge Life Tackle, LLC and the first mate of the F/V Lady Rebecca. Harrison has been building rods for over 10 years. Having saltwater fished for over 20 years, fishing commercially for a good part of that time, he knows how to build a rod suited for your target species.
